I didn't have a problem before the "updates" over the past few months.

I have Windows 8, but have a shell that makes my comp look/work as if it is in Windows 7, but It's possible that at some point, the formatting for all of my documents was set this way, but again, the Auto formatting is on and does not seem to be working.
